not a "you" in general, but a group of "you"s. all of YOU better grow some balls or maybe a brain and stop faking ever single thing you do. I AM SICK of people who pretend to know bands theyve never heard. maybe listening to it because one of their friends do or because they think the guys are cute. I was on facebook and saw a certain someone's status and it was a lyric to a song i know for a fact they dont know from a band that i am borderline obsessed with. what the fuck? pathetic i say. actually, i scream it. im sick of lame ass people who have their head so far up their asses. they dont realize that music isnt about looking cool while playing it or listening to it. they have this Paramore mindset, that its all about the hair and scene and following whatever the little front woman says. they all get into this single file line begging for words of wisdom from a 19 year old child prodigy. and the kids that are all "OMGZ A7X IS SO THA BESTEST! OMG SO SEXXXY!" and they only listen to A7X's newest 2 albums, which in my opinion suck so bad its not even funny. M's voice got all whiney and pathetic and all he does it whine and not actually sing. it makes me cry.
dont get me wrong, i loved paramore when i was in middle school and the only album they had was All We Know and obviously some older EP's, and it was wondeful. nobody cared to go see them in a huge stadium, nobody got the haylee williams hair because they wanted to be a "natural orange" like her. nobody gave a fuck how much shit she put in her hair, they just liked her voice. her lyrics. nobody cared really what she had to say during shows. she didnt have 10 minute talk breaks during shows. Honestly, i wouldnt go see paramore to hear haylee's pre-teen sounding voice, i'd go to hear some old songs.
i think things like that have killed rock music. people being so concerned about fashion and their look, not their sound. i mean im not a democrat, im not an anarchist, im not into politics much anymore. but i DO listen to music that endorses that shit, NOFX, anarcho punk, antiflag, or stuff. call me hypocritical, but i like the sound. not necessarily the message, but the sound. thats enough for me. you wont hear someone singing about what i believe in. unless its Michael Graves, but im more of a Danzig fan...
i mean, i do believe in animal rights (NOFX, Alkaline Trio, Propagandhi, Anti-Flag, etc.) and unity (op. ivy, LC/CV, etc.) but i DO support the war in iraq and our troops, and i have views along the lines of this or this. Anarchy is most definitely not logical (sorry AM! i love you Tom even though i dont think your on the right track there... get it? RIGHT track? hahaha) but anyways, i swore i wouldnt talk about politics.
back to people being fake dumbshits. STOP IT. im such a goddamn nice person that i dont say shit about it but i know i SHOULD. im getting pissed that to everyone now its all about listening to the right bands and dressing the right way.
one more thing: I hate LIARS. friends that lie mostly. and i have many of those. so, um, FUCK OFF.
